How Subview collects, uses, and protects information when you browse the site or use the product.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Overview
Subview helps teams monitor app store reviews, country availability, ratings, digests, and related product signals. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to the Subview website, product, dashboard, emails, and support interactions. It does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment providers, or services that we do not own or control.
By using Subview, you agree that we may process information as described here. If you use Subview on behalf of an organization, that organization is responsible for configuring the workspace, managing user access, and giving any required notices to its users.
Information you provide
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, organization details, authentication data, product preferences, billing contact information, and support messages.
We also process content you choose to add to Subview, including apps, buckets, subscriptions, review metadata, country selections, alert settings, digest recipients, and operational notes.
If you invite other users or configure emails for notifications, you are responsible for making sure you have permission to provide those contact details to Subview.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site or use the product, we may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, approximate location, pages viewed, timestamps, referrers, session identifiers, and log events needed to secure and operate the service.
We may collect product usage information such as pages opened, filters used, actions triggered, import status, digest delivery events, and feature interaction data. This helps us understand reliability, performance, and where the product needs improvement.
Some information is collected through cookies, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies. More detail is available in our Cookie Policy.
App store and product data
Subview may retrieve or process information from public or customer-configured app store sources, including review text, ratings, reviewer display names, country metadata, app identifiers, app titles, versions, source timestamps, and availability signals.
We use this information to display review feeds, insights, country coverage, ratings, summaries, alerts, and digests. We do not control the accuracy, availability, or retention practices of external app stores.
If app store data includes personal information, we process it according to your configuration, the nature of the source, and the rights and obligations that apply to your workspace.
How we use information
We use information to provide the service, sync and display review data, send requested digests, maintain accounts, authenticate users, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
We also use information to monitor service health, improve product reliability, develop new features, measure performance, protect accounts, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product usage, improve features, train internal processes, and report service performance, provided that it does not identify a specific person or customer.
Email and communications
Subview may send transactional messages such as account notices, security alerts, digest emails, import notifications, billing messages, and product updates that are necessary to provide the service.
We may also send occasional marketing or educational messages where permitted. You can opt out of marketing emails, but we may still send transactional messages related to your account or workspace.
If you configure digests or alerts for other recipients, Subview processes those email addresses to deliver the messages you requested.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host, monitor, secure, analyze, support, communicate, bill, and deliver Subview.
Service providers are expected to handle information only for the services they provide to us and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, to enforce our agreements, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Subview, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and support audit and security records.
Retention periods may vary based on account status, product configuration, data type, workspace settings, legal requirements, and operational needs.
When information is deleted from active systems, it may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before being overwritten or removed according to normal retention cycles.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
These safeguards may include access controls, logging, encryption in transit, backup practices, operational monitoring, vendor review, and separation of duties where appropriate.
No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. If you believe your account or workspace has been compromised, contact us promptly so we can investigate.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal information where applicable. Some requests may be subject to identity verification, legal retention requirements, security needs, or customer-controller instructions.
Workspace administrators may be able to update users, apps, buckets, subscriptions, and notification settings directly inside Subview.
You can contact us through the Contact Us page for privacy questions or requests. If your information is controlled by a Subview customer, we may direct your request to that customer.
International processing
Subview and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live or where the information was originally collected.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual commitments, vendor due diligence, and other measures designed to protect personal information.
By using Subview, you understand that information may be transferred, stored, and processed in locations with data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or our practices change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.
If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify customers, such as posting a notice in the product or sending an email to account contacts.
Your continued use of Subview after a policy update means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
